Koilakh is one of the Village in Rajnagar Tehsil in Madhubani District in Bihar State . Koilakh is located 8.8 km distance from its Tehsil Main Town Rajnagar. Koilakh is 14 km far from its District Main City Madhubani . It is 180 km far from its State Main City Patna .
"The famous temple of Shri Shri 108 Bhadrakali Koilakh Devi is situated 14 kms east of Madhubani. The village Koilakh derives its name from the revered deity.The temple management team has done an excellent job in keeping the surroundings neat and clean. The special Aarti which is performed daily in the evenings draws hundreds of devotees and Bhakts from nearby villages as well.It is said that nobody has ever returned empty handed from this sacred place.The village Koilakh is perhaps the most famous village of Mithila.

Template:India Districts Madhubani district is one of the thirty-eight districts of Bihar state, India, and Madhubani town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Madhubani district is a part of Darbhanga division. The district occupies an area of 3,501 square kilometres (1,352 sq mi) and has a population of 4,487,379 (as of 2011).

History

Madhubani became a district in 1972 when it was split from Darbhanga district.[1]

Geography

Madhubani district occupies an area of 3,501 square kilometres (1,352 sq mi),[2] comparatively equivalent to the Bahamas' North Andros island.[3]

Economy

In 2006 the Ministry of Panchayati Raj named Madhubani one of the country's 250 most backward districts (out of a total of 640).[4] It is one of the 36 districts in Bihar currently receiving funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme (BRGF). But in last few years there a lot of changes happened. This sansk city is going to adopt urbanisation.[4]

Saurath

Kapileswarsthan

A village situated nine kilometres (5.6 mi) from Madhubani District Head Quarter. The village is noted for its Shiva Temple, also known as Kapileswarsthan. Numerous devotees congregate at the temple every Monday and particularly in the month of Shravan. A large fair is also held on the occasion of Maha Shiva Ratri.

Uchaitha

The village in Benipatti block is noted for its temple of Bhagwati on the western bank of river Thumne. According to a legend, the renowned Sanskrit poet and dramatist Kalidas was blessed by Bhagwati at this place.

Bhawanipur

It is a large village situated 5 km from the block headquarter of Pandaul, the village is noted for its temple of Ugaranath and traditional association with famous poet, Vidyapati. As the legend says, Vidyapati was such a great devotee of Lord Shiva that the latter began to serve Vidyapati as his servant named Ugana.

Parasmaninath Temple

Parasmaninath Temple also known as Parasmanidham Rahua Sangram is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in north-east direction of Rahua Sangram Village which is six kilometres' distance from the Madhepur block office.

According to the 2011 census Madhubani district has a population of 4,476,044,[6] roughly equal to the nation of Croatia[7] or the U.S. state of Louisiana.[8] This gives it a ranking of 37th in India (out of a total of 707).[6] The district has a population density of 1,279 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,310/sq mi).[6] Its population growth rate over the decade 2001–2011 was 25.19%.[6] Madhubani has a sex ratio of 925 females for every 1000 males,[6] and a literacy rate of 43.35%.[6]
