Yes there's a source that claims residual AP is still called as Andhra Pradesh in part - I of 2(j) in AP reorganisation bill.

This article has already started considering Telangana as a separate state, whereas it is still under process. Till the time Constitutional Amendment is notified by the President of India, it remains part of Andhra Pradesh, and the number of states remain 28. This issue is highly contentious. It has been made into an intense and divisive issue by the unscrupulous politicians of this country. Although, the Constitution guarantees freedom and other valuable rights, these politicians have made them invalid to our country. Making statements over the issues without proper intention and neutral verifiable sources is a sure violation of Wikipedia terms - this article has too many biased statements, creating disagreements and differences, especially over current contentious issue like Telangana ( its creation and issues related ). To preserve neutrality I wish, the corresponding team to look into the neutrality of this article. Comments are welcomed. The State reorganisation (which was recently repeatedly blanked with no explanation) is a bit of a mess. I'm largely unfamiliar with the topic, but most of the English in that section is rather garbled, and comes across a bit POV-ish. Since a new state will now be made out of the current Andhra Pradesh (next month - May 2014), the current page will need corrections - in nearly all items including the political map, state boundaries, statistics - pop / number of districts, etc.

Hi, please watch the above section, the seemandhra page already existed, it was merged with this page. There is no need to have separate page, Andhra Pradesh will be known with same name even a new state is formed, Ex:madhya pradesh, bihar, uttar pradesh pages. So, the word seemandhra does not exists, only it's the media creation to clearly convey the region. And about major changes. I agree. We need to update the districts info and the map to reflect the new borders of the state on June 2nd. We need update other stats etc. Of course we update the history portion of the article to mention the bifurcation. President is already approved the bifrucation. As can be seen from the editing history, there's been a bit of an edit-war on this page over the last few days, focusing primarily, it seems, at least most recently, on whether or not Nasta'liq script should be included in the "native name" field of the infobox. This has resulted in at least one editor hitting 7RR. As this has calmed down - for the moment - and the edit-warriors warned, there won't be any blocks or the page protected - yet. However I have reverted the inappropriate change of categorisation (Category:States and territories of India is diffused, and the article had been removed entirely from Category:Andhra Pradesh). The editors who are in dispute are requested to, as Wikipedia's policies require, discuss their dispute here, to reach a WP:CONSENSUS on whether or not the characters in question should be included or excluded from the article, along with resolving any other disputes they may have. To be clear, 'Andhraites' is not an ethnic group or anything, it's just an informal way of denoting that someone hails from Andhra Pradesh. It is consistent with similar namings in India, such as Keralites, Mumbaites, Delhites, etc.. --Soman (talk) 13:02, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
