Legal proceedings are being taken in High Court for carrying defamatory articles.
Court Ban
On Feb 28 2014, the Madras High Court has directed the Group Coordinator (Joint Secretary), Cyber Law Division in the Union Department of Information Technology, to block the entire website[3]. On passing interim orders on a criminal original petition filed by Mahalakshmi, advocate and SunTV newsreader, Justice C T Selvam observed that "This court notes that the reputation and status of not less than half a dozen judges, very many advocates, IAS and IPS officers stand attacked and damaged at the hands of this vituperative site,"[4]
Articles
The site contains almost 1000 posts. It had posted the sensational 2G tapes conversation on his website much before the AAP leader Prashant Bhushan released them in New Delhi. It had contained the alleged conversation between the DMK MP Kanimozhi, IPS officer Jaffar Sait, Nira Radia, M Karunanidhi's wife, Sharad Kumar Reddy, a former director of Karunanidhi-owned Kalaignar TV etc.[5][6] Social Media and few news media call this publisher as Tamil Nadu’s Julian Assange[2].
