Sophie Morgan was born and raised in East Sussex, and attended Gordonstoun school in Scotland, an exclusive private school.

Originally planning to study law, she switched to fine art after her accident, attending Goldsmiths, University of London. She completed an Open University degree in English Literature, then studied for a Masters in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy at the Institute for Arts in Education and Therapy.

She appeared in two British reality tv series featuring disabled people and was the runner-up in the BBC3 TV programme ‘Britain's Missing Top Model’ in 2008,[2] going on to model in a tracksuit for Stella McCartney. She has since designed the Mannequal, a symbolic wheelchair for use by store mannequins to integrate images of wheelchair users into fashion displays.[3] She has also appeared in ‘Beyond Boundaries’ and ‘Horizon‘ for BBC2, and ‘The One Show’ for BBC1.[4]

Sophie was part of the UK Channel 4 presenters team for the London 2012 Paralympics.[5], reading the weather in the morning shows.
