An IRC channel has been registered for WikiProject:Numismatics. It is located here

This Wikiproject, after a long period of dormancy is now in the process of getting updated and expanded. If you'd like to join in, please sign up by clicking here and adding your username to the list.- Johann Wolfgang 18:00, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like we're starting to get a little attention here in our little corner. For some reason I think people are afraid to sign up for this project either because of lack of professional experience, or the dauntingness of the scope. Just because you sign up doesn't mean you have to do anything, though at the least I think input on questions and such shouldn't be to much. This is a huge project, but every sentence helps. Take a look at what is done, half done and not started, and do what you know, or even (God forbid) learn something new. (no offense anyone) Anyways, scan this project page, make sure to check out the Sub sections for additional project pages. Please add these to your watchlist. Tasks

Adopt an article

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
