I think your recast of the opening of [[Narrative]] is interesting, but I am wondering if it's proper Wikipedia form to define a term in the first line with the definition by a single scholar. I am not familiar with Fisher's work, but am wondering why his work would be privileged over that by other literary theorists. I am wondering if this opening can be yet again recast in more nonpersonal terms, while keeping Fisher's contribution further down the intro. Thanks. I am retired and currently unoccupied (although I harbour plans for a magnificent return to commercial life, usually involving the conquest of one or more major market niches and untold wealth). I am therefore perfectly qualified to obey the instruction, "do not create an article to promote yourself" since death (whether real or through boredom) will soon claim me. In the interim, I may scribble or tweak material within my fading expertise.
Keele
You're a few years further along the path than I am - but only five or so! I'll be at Keele Monday and Tuesday (there's a youth conference there where I'm helping in a small way) - are you still around in that area? I saw your comments on User:buffyg's page. Jeffrey Newman 06:36, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
