ceb-wp logo
Hi,
I would like to request a change of the text of the ceb-wp logo to "Wikipedya, ang gawasnong ensiklopedya" because the correct spelling is "ensiklopedya", not "ensayklopedya" as in the last version. See also my post @ meta. Thanks! --Bentong Isles 14:20, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Can I incorporate your logo?
I'd like to incorporate the Wikipedia logo into an icon, if that's alright. I'd like to put sunglasses on it to indicate privacy on Wikipedia for the user group {{User pro-anon}}. I think that putting the sunglasses which are currently the icon over the globe would really convey the message. What's more, I already made it. I want to get your OK before uploading it, though. Thanks. P.S. One of your cats shares my last name. -Justin Force 23:28, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Be my guest, thought it's really not my decision. The Wikimedia Foundation owns all rights to the logo now. Cool last name. Nohat 04:55, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi
This is Sandy from the Wikimedia Foundation. Could you please email me? There is a reporter that would like to do a story on the current logo talks. My email is sordonez@wikimedia.org. WikiBlue
Tagalog Wikipedia article
Hello. Can you please kindly assist me in placing a Tagalog Wikipedia logo thumbnail for the Tagalog Wikipedia article. Would really appreciate it really if it comes from the original creator of the Wikipedia logo. Many thanks.Dragonbite 23:15, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Fixed logo
I saw the article at [1] about errors in the logo, and though I would give fixing them a quick try. What do you think about meta:Image:Wikipedia-logo_thue.png? I just hand pixel edited the logo to resemble the correct version suggested by the New York Times article. Thue | talk 12:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- What errors (I was unable to access the NY times article)? Both logos look the same to me, I even noticed an error on the fixed image that is not on the other one. Tcrow777 talk 00:12, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- The Japanese chars just to the right of the top middle needed a vertical line on the first char. And the sanskrit char on the leftmost piece in the middle row was wrong (according to the NYT). The NYT article was available with free registration when I posted the initial comment, but is now only available if you pay for access. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thue (talk • contribs) 20:49, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Oromo Wikipedia logo
Hi, would it be possible for you to create a version of the WP logo for the Oromo Wikipedia? The text, as I was informed by the local admin (see om:User_talk:Johannes_Rohr#Reply) would be: Wikipedia, Encylopedia Billisaa
Thank you so much in advance, --Johannes Rohr 22:10, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Font for Korean logo
Hi, thank you for all your logos :) Can I ask you which font you used for the Korean Wikipedia logo? Link: Image:Wikipedia-logo-ko.png I suspect Apple Gothic (judging from your use of Hoefler Text) but I'm not sure, because Apple Gothic doesn't support bold natively. --Kjoonlee 00:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
UBX
I am a newbie at English Wikipedia, and I saw you had been here for 4 years. I would like you to help me out with linguistics userboxes, such as "a full understanding of the [[Cyrillic Alphabet", an "advanced understanding of the Hebrew abjad, and a "full understanding of the IPA". The only languages I know are listed on my Babel boxes, but I know the full Cyrillic, Hebrew, and International Phonetic Alphabets, and would like those userboxes. I also need other help, because I only joined yesterday, and I am already a Recent changes patroller, and have helped to block User:Teletubbiesaresexy. Please assume good faith, and respond on my talk page. Also, can you please sign my petition on Simple.wiki? bibliotheque (Talk) 02:29, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
New SVG logo
I thought that I should tell you that I created a new SVG version of the Wikipedia logo, located here. It has a few problems, could you help me with it? Tcrow777 talk 23:22, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- That is why I called it "experimental", it is a work in progress. Did you not read the note or the to-do list on the Commons talk page where I pointed out those problems? Yes, I auto-traced it. I used Inkscape to edit it a litle.
- I am not the first one to point out the inconsistencies between the main page logo and large PNG logo, see it's talk page on Commons.
- So it seems we both already know the problems with the current logo and the SVG one. What can I do to help you? Nohat 04:25, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Can you use Inkscape? I am still very new to it. Feel free to upload a new version of the SVG logo if you want to. Tcrow777 talk 05:10, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- You said "Second, the gradient across the sphere is implemented as a series of overlapping strips of slightly different shades of gray." But the PNG logo dark gray going into almost white, I thought that the SVG was supposed to do the same thing. Tcrow777 talk 05:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- I do not think that was a very smart question. I have next to no experience with Vector Graphics. Tcrow777 talk 00:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Missing accents
If you compare this image with the logo used on the en.wp main page, there are differences:
Image:Wikipedia-logo.png | Main page logo |
---|---|
И (capital I) |
Й (capital short I) |
Ω (capital Omega) |
Ώ (capital Omega with Tonos) |
Tcrow777 talk 23:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think that one international logo with different characters with additional translated text added below it would be better. Tcrow777 talk 05:15, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
