The pebibit is a multiple of the bit, a unit of digital information storage, prefixed by the standards-based multiplier pebi (symbol Pi), a binary prefix meaning 250.[1][2] The unit symbol of the pebibit is Pibit.
The pebibit is closely related to the petabit, the corresponding unit using the metric prefix peta, which is 1015 bits.
