Salamonie Township is one of twelve townships in Huntington County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 2,260.[1]

History

Salamonie Township was organized in 1835.[2] It was named from the Salamonie River.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.49 square miles (94.5 km2), of which 36.3 square miles (94 km2) (or 99.48%) is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 km2) (or 0.52%) is water.[4] The stream of Weasel Creek runs through this township.
