Roshel (Roshel Smart Armored Vehicles) is a Canadian manufacturer of wheeled armored vehicles and armored fighting vehicles.[2]
History
As part of military aid following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Canadian government has donated 8 Roshel Senator APCs[3] to the Ukrainian Ground Forces.[4][5] On 18 January 2023, the Canadian government announced a further donation of another 200 Roshel Senator APCs.[6] By December 2023, Roshel had delivered its 1000th APC to Ukraine.[7]
Controversy
Former company vice-president, Anton Sestritsyn accused the Roshel and top executives - including CEO Roman Shimonov - of bribing Ukrainian official to help secure a $92 Million dollar deal through the government of Canada.[8] Roshel has claimed the government has cleared them after an audit and found no wrongdoing, but as of May 7 2023 the report had not been made available to the public. Roshel is counter sueing Anton Sestritsyn for defamation. [9]
