Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Shyray (Ukrainian: Олександр Анатолійович Ширай; born 21 February 1992) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chernihiv.[2][3][4]

Career

Shyray started his career with the youth team of Yunist Chernihiv before moving to Polissya Dobryanka. In 2012, he moved to Volyn Lutsk.Three years later, he moved to Avangard Korukivka. In 2015, he moved to Russia, where he played for Fiztech in the Moscow regional championship for two seasons, where he played 13 matches.[5][6] In 2017 he returned to Avangard Korukivka.

FC Chernihiv

In summer 2020 Shyray moved to FC Chernihiv of the Ukrainian Second League and made his league debut against Karpaty Lviv on 19 September at the Ukraina Stadium in Lviv.[7][8]On 27 August 2022 he made his Ukrainian First League debut against Skoruk Tomakivka.[9]

On 2 September 2023, he saved a penalty by Yaroslav Kvasov against Inhulets at the Yunist Stadium in Ukrainian First League.[10]

Managerial career

In September 2024, he was appointed as assistant coach of the FC Chernihiv-19.[11]
