Mockbul Ali is a British diplomat.
Career
Ali was appointed Political Counsellor in Egypt, Chief of Staff to the British Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Libya and British Deputy Ambassador to Bahrain. In 2019, he was appointed the British Ambassador to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, serving in the role until 2024.[1][2]
Awards and recognition
Ali was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours.[3]
In 2024, Ali was awarded the Order of Merit of Duarte, Sanchez and Mella by the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, for his contribution to the bilateral relationship.[4]
