Koirala family (Nepali: कोइराला परिवार) is one of the most prominent political families of Nepal. Krishna Prasad Koirala, a Rana-era socio-political activist, was exiled to Bihar, India by then Prime Minister Maharaja Chandra Sumsher.[1] Four members of the family, including three brothers (Matrika Prasad Koirala, B.
