The Kambar-Ata-2 Hydro Power Plant (Kyrgyz: Камбар-Ата-2 ГЭСи, Russian: Камбаратинская ГЭС-2) is a hydroelectric power station on the river Naryn near Kara-Jygach, Toktogul District, Kyrgyzstan.[1][2] When completed, it will have 3 individual Francis turbine-generators with a nominal output of around 120 MW each, with a combined generation capacity of 360 MW electricity. The first generator was operational on November 27, 2010.[2] The power plant's dam is 60 m (197 ft) tall and it creates a 70,000,000 m3 (56,750 acre⋅ft) reservoir of which 8,000,000 m3 (6,486 acre⋅ft) is active (or useful) for power generation.[3]
