Janki Setu

Janki Setu[1][2] is a suspension bridge[3] located in Rishikesh,[4] Uttarakhand, India, spanning the Ganges River.[5]

Description

The bridge connects the Swarg Ashram area with Phoolchatti, and is an important route for pilgrims[6] heading to the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple.[citation needed] Named after Goddess Sita (Janki), the bridge holds spiritual significance, as it is believed to be the spot where she crossed the river during her journey with Lord Rama. The bridge offers stunning views of the river and surrounding hills, making it a popular tourist attraction. It is an integral part of Rishikesh’s religious and scenic landscape, alongside other famous landmarks like Ram Jhula.[citation needed]
