Summary
| Description | English: Visited during Easter 2017, but only now being posted. Unlike the nearby Bredger & Wormshill Railway (also visited that day flic.kr/s/aHskU6AckN) The SKLR has a forlorn and neglected air about it. Stations and stock are unkempt, untidy and mostly in need of a repaint, wlist derelict trains, spares and materials litter the site. Perhaps because they do not actually own the site or the trackbed, the SKLR standards of presentation fall far short of what we have now come to expect from British steam preservation in most cases. Nothing "gleams" at Kemsley. |
