Eom Ji-sung (Korean엄지성; born 9 May 2002) is a South Korean footballer currently playing as a forward for EFL Championship club Swansea City.

Club career

Since 2021, he has played as a mid-fielder for Gwangju FC.

On 15 July 2024, Eom signed for Welsh Championship club Swansea City on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee,[1] reported to be in the region of £1 million by local media.[2]

International career

Um Ji-sung was selected for the A-team for the first time in January 2022 ahead of the off-season training for the South Korean national soccer team.[3] He made his A-team debut in a match between the South Korean national team and the Icelandic national soccer team on Jan. 15, 2022, and scored his debut goal in the 40th minute of the second half.[4]

Since then, he has often been selected for the national team. However, he reportedly injured himself during an A-match game against Jordan in October 2024, and needed about six weeks to recover from the injury.[5]

Style of play

He enjoys playing one-on-one with the opposing defender in the side name due to his good sense of cheek touch and dribbling skills. He receives the ball from the side and moves to the center, preferring to play the role of a right foot winger who mainly plays on the left.
