James Corbett (born 5 March 2002) is a New Zealand triathlete. He achieved a gold medal at the 2024 Asia Triathlon Cup Tokyo Uminomori in the Elite Men’s race with a time of 01:47:26.[1]

Early life

James Corbett was born in Singapore to an Irish father and a New Zealand mother. He attended international schools, where he began competing in swimming and running before transitioning to triathlon under the guidance of a coach.[2]

In his youth, Corbett achieved early success in Singapore’s athletic circuits before relocating to New Zealand. He attended St Peter's School, Cambridge, where he competed in a more challenging environment and developed his competitive approach to the sport.[2]
