Alphalete athletics is a Texas-based athletic apparel retailer headquartered in Missouri City, Texas[3] and owned by Christian Guzman, a fitness influencer and American bodybuilder.[4]
History
Christian Guzman began uploading videos on YouTube that documented his fitness journey and provided advice regarding fitness and nutrition to others.[3] After graduating high school, Guzman attended Texas Christian University where he studied health and fitness management.[5] After his first year, he transferred to Texas State University but withdrew after finishing his sophomore year in 2013 in order to "continue making YouTube videos, take on personal-training clients, and open his own gym." [6] After successfully funding his first gym, his gym moved locations four times and eventually settled into his most recent gym, Alphaland. [7] Guzman also launched 3D Energy Drinks in 2019. [8]
Alphalete Apparel
Guzman's original apparel brand was named CG Fitness but officially established as Alphalete in Winter of 2015.[9][8] The company makes and distributes Athleisure clothing for both men and women for running, lifting, bodybuilding competing, and casual wear.[3] News outlets such as Forbes, Livestrong, and CNN have praised Alphalete's apparel on their websites with several opinionated compliments such as, "size-inclusive," and the, "best spring workout clothes to add to your wardrobe."[10][11][12]
Alphaland
Alphaland, the current gym owned by Alphalete Athletics, was opened in 2022.[13] Alphaland is a 30,000+ square-foot property located in Missouri City, Texas and is attached to the corporate headquarters of Alphalete. [14][15] The gym hosts a retail store for Alphalete apparel, Buffbunny Boutique, Inaka apparel, Everforward apparel, and Sourstrips as well as three gyms (one indoor, two outdoor), two basketball courts, one football field, a private workout studio, and their own eatery, AlphaEats. [14]
Alphaland has mostly received positive reviews such as being called, "the 'Disney World for Bodybuilders,'" and rated as one of the top ten gyms in America from fitness news sources such as Men's Health and BarBend.[16][17] Some fitness and sports celebrities have also been spotted working out at Alphaland such as James Harden.[18]
