In 2024, the Post Office published its first climate report, aligned with the Act.[4] The plans involved electric vehicles and solar panels, but the Post Office's bid for funding for solar panels was delayed.[5]
In 2024, the Chief Minister admitted that meeting the 2030 target would be increasingly difficult.[6] almost a third of projects relating to tackle climate change that had been committed to in 2022 as part of the Act had not started yet.[7]
Fossil fuel boilers were banned in new-build homes in 2025, in order to meet obligations under the Act.[8]
The Isle of Man Government used carbon offsets to meet the obligations of the Act while still hosting the Isle of Man TT in 2022.[9] The Government was criticised for relying on international schemes for the offsets rather than using schemes based in the Isle of Man.[10]
