Held on 22 February, it was the sixth and penultimate leg of the 2023 World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold series – the highest-level international indoor track and field athletics circuit. Meeting records were set in the men's 1500 m as well as the women's 60 m, 60 m hurdles, and shot put.
