Oscar for bedste kortfilm
Oscar for bedste kortfilm (Academy Award for Live Action Short Film) er en filmpris, der gives ved den årlige oscaruddeling til instruktøren (eller produceren) af den bedste kortfilm fra det forgangne filmår.
Ikke-amerikanske kortfilm kan godt nomineres til denne oscar. Danske kortfilm har været nomineret tolv gange og vundet fire for hhv. Valgaften, Der er en yndig mand, De nye lejere og Helium. De nuværende regler fastsætter, at nominerede kortfilm maksimalt må have en spilletid på 40 minutter og ikke må være dokumentarfilm, som har sin egen priskategori for kortfilm. Filmene skal desuden have været vist i biografen, enten i en kommerciel biograf i Californien eller ved en anerkendt filmfestival.
